An extra hour of daylight for dating!
The clock went forward last weekend, denying us all of an hour of sleep on Sunday morning but bearing the gift of an extra hour of light in the evenings. If you're going on a date soon, how can you make the most of that extra hour? Here are a few suggestions...
1. Alfresco dining
OK, so you'll have to choose wisely as you'll want to be in dashing distance of four walls if it starts to rain or the wind picks up (no picnics in fields just yet) but if it's been a warm day, you can just about get away with a little outdoor eating.
2. A walk in the park before dinner
Or by the river, around town or any other attractive, outdoorsy place.
3. A game of tennis
Or any other outdoor sport, if you're sporty. If you're not sporty you could watch/laugh at others playing sport whilst eating an ice cream instead (probably the better option, actually).
4. Watch the sunset
The ultimate in romance and the sun is handily setting about 7.30pm at the moment, allowing ample time for a slap up dinner afterwards.
5. Pub Garden
Go for a quick drink before your date proper (or a long drink if your date is an evening in the pub) and make the most of the last of the evening sunshine before moving on or moving inside.
Whatever you're doing with your extra hour of dating light, we hope you have a lovely time.
