Easter Dating Ideas
Like Christmas, it comes but once a year, but Easter is somehow less exciting and glamorous, the Danni Minogue of holidays compared to the festive season's Kylie. However, it still means a fair old chunk of time off work and thus plenty of opportunities for some dating fun. Here are our top five Easter themed dating ideas.
1. Chocolate
If you aren't religious, this is pretty much what Easter comes down to. You could take your date to Cadbury World, the Chocolate Museum in Ilfracombe, Devon, or to a chocolate making workshop. For something lower key, you could just meet for a cup of hot chocolate or share a Creme Egg.
2. Cathedral
Not the most obvious place for a date, especially if you're a non-believer, but cathedrals are often like a museum or gallery: full of antiquities and art. St Pauls in London is a very popular tourist attraction as well as a place of worship and excellent if you like views from very high up places and Gloucester Cathedral recently held a sculpture exhibition including works by Anthony Gormley and Damien Hirst.
3. Hot Cross Buns
You can't beat a spot of afternoon tea and hot cross buns will be a staple at the moment. You could go on a date at your local Olde Tea Shoppe or, if you're feeling all dizzy and extravagent, splash out on some miniscule sandwiches served on terrifyingly fragile china at the Ritz. Very civilized.
4. Eggs
If you're really trying to impress your date, take them out for the UK's poshest omelette. Costing £90 from Boisdale restaurant in London, the omelette is made from gulls eggs, a particularly rich gulls egg that is only allowed to be eaten for a few weeks of the year during spring.
5. Lambs, chicks, rabbits
Only the hardest heart can resist a baby animal and lambs, chicks and rabbits are abundant at the moment. If you're a country dweller you can probably hardly move without tripping over one or the other at the moment and if you're in a bigger place there's sure to be a city farm near by. Gooing over the cute little things will be a perfect ice breaker.
