Competition - BFI Encounter - only Brighton tix left!

Wednesday, 11 June 2008

Hopefully your dating encounters are a little less tortured and a little more fun than the doomed love affair between Laura and Alec in Brief Encounter, but if you fancy some old fashioned cinematic romance then the BFI have got just the season for you.

Ten films directed by David Lean during the 1940s and 50s have been faithfully restored by the British Film Insititute National Archive to coincide with the centenary year of the great British film director. The UK wide celebration includes a touring programme.

Brief Encounter, In Which We Serve, Oliver Twist, The Passionate Friends and Pygmalion are just some of the films being shown as part of the retrospective.

The BFI have kindly given us some tickets to give away. We have one pair of tickets to see a David Lean film at each of the following venues:

London - Southbank - WON!

Brighton - Duke of York

Liverpool - FACT - WON!

Bath - Little Theatre - WON!

York - City Screen - WON!

If you'd like to get your hands on a pair of these tickets simply drop us a line here, letting us know your full name and the venue you'd like to go to. Tickets will be allocated on a first come, first serve basis - so get in there quick!

For more information on the season and details of the touring programme visit the BFI website here.
