French Riviera Competition - The Winner

A big thank you to everyone who entered our competition to win a break in the French Riviera with Jenny Colgan's The Good, the Bad and the Dumped.

We had so many great entries from MSFers writing in describing their ideal break that choosing a winner would have been impossible. Thankfully our random selector was on hand and picked Aimee. Aimee is the lucky winner of a luxurious 3 day break in Monte Carlo for two and here is her inspired literary entry.

"So I'm sitting idly having a coffee in the sun by the Thames after a tiring and tedious day at work, when suddenly I'm disturbed by shouting and a distant commotion! 

A shifty and slightly unattractive man is sprinting towards me pursued by a roguishly handsome man in a scuffed tuxedo. The shifty man grabs me, holding a huge knife and shouts "back off Blonde!". 

The roguishly handsome man pauses, grabbing a glinting silver tray from a nearby table and swiftly frisbees it towards me, missing my neck by a hair, and embedding into the shifty man's head. Who then drops to the floor. I freeze, overcome by shock, but manage to look strangely attractive and vulnerable in a tough independent-woman way.

I begin to swoon, but am caught by the roguishly handsome man, who stares into my eyes with his piercing blue ones and says "Blonde. Jim Blonde." He whisks me into a waiting high powered speed boat, and I am suddenly unexplainably thinner and more tanned than ever before, wearing a designer bikini and classic Hepburn sunglasses."I think you need a getaway", Jim breathes. I do. I really do."
