One Day Competition - The Winners
A couple of weeks ago we ran a competition to celebrate the hotly anticipated release of One Day, starring Anne Hathaway and Jim Sturgess (showing in cinemas now). We asked you to send in your top five romantic songs and blimey, did we have a good response. After much umming, humming and repeated listenings of Eternal Flame, we've come up with our lucky winners!
Our first selection is from Mark:

3. Romeo and Juliet - Dire Straights
2. Nothing Compares to you - Sinead O'Connor
1. Teenage Dirtbag - Wheatus
'Teenage Dirtbag' wouldn't be in our romantic top 5, but we applaud Mark's originality.

Laura is a winner in our eyes with the inclusion of two of the most overblown power ballads in existence.
Next, we have Mehul's top five:

4. Eric Clapton - Wonderful Tonight
3. Barry White - You're the First, the Last, My Everything
2. Roberta Flack - The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face
1. Boyz II Men - I'll Make Love To You
Mehul's selection was, quite simply, the most sentimental and sappy list that we received, all topped off by those uber-cheesemongers Boyz II Men. Good work Mehul.
Then there's Cline:

Cline's list was certainly the least traditional of all the entires we received. I mean, Voice of the Beehive? Seriously?
