Watching The World Go By
We were both somewhat sceptical about joining MSF, we only said yes to stop the nagging!
Lis and Tony met back in July 2008 on mysinglefriend.com and last month they got married in the beautiful and chilly surroundings of the Tower of the Winds on the Shugborough Estate.
"Both of us were signed up to the site by 'persuasive' friends, only really agreeing for quiet lives!
The success stories sounded good but we didn't really expect it to work for us."
The First Date
"After a couple of weeks worth of 'war-and-peace' length emails Tony and I went for a meal at a local pub. After our food we sat contentedly watching the world go by, we already knew so much about each other from numerous long emails beforehand.
We felt like we knew each other before we even met. The first date was just
a formality as it all felt 'normal' from the start. This Valentine's weekend marked our 4-week wedding anniversary and we're looking forward to a proper honeymoon abroad later this year!"
Lis' friend Rachel:
"I think it's fair to say that Lis needed quite a lot of convincing to join MSF, I knew it was a good way to get out and meet people.
I don't think Lis would have put herself on a dating website, but having a friend put you on takes a certain amount of pressure off and makes you feel that you're not having to 'sell yourself' as your friend is doing it for you! Nevertheless, some nagging was needed!"

the wedding in January.
We're so glad to hear the nagging paid off so perfectly. We'd like to congratulate Lis and Tony and wish you all best for your future together. As ever, do keep us updated, we'd love to hear all about it!
