Blind Date is returning!

Well, kind of. Enterprising MSFer Amanda is bringing Blind Date back for one night only at the Kings Arms, Kingsbridge, Devon on Saturday 23rd June. It sounds like a lot of fun, it's for charidee, and it features our good mate Dave Cornthwaite so why not pop along if you live in the area. Here's what Amanda has to say about the event:

"We are proposing to have 8 single contestants - one boy picking from 3 girls and one girl picking from 3 boys. This will be run in very similar style to the TV Blind date programme. As well as this we will have a large audience with lots of single people attending - a live band to entertain whilst the lucky couples go on their date - accompanied by a secretive photographer to take action shots to be shown at the 'report back' at the end of the evening.  Dave Cornthwaite - author of 'Date' which I know you will be well aware of, is going to be entertaining us all. His role will be to act as our very own 'Cilla'. Dave is really excited to be a part of this charity evening and as someone who has written about the highs and lows of the dating game in great detail, he will know exactly how to set the tone and put our contestants at ease, so that they have the best chance of finding love, or at least having a good evening looking!"

Sounds good to us. All proceeds from the evening are going to the Ronald McDonald Housing Charities and Coppafeel, so you'll be benefiting others as well, we hope, as finding love! If any other keen MSFers out there are organising singles events, let us know and we'll be glad to share the news.
