The festive season can make you feel like the only single person in the world. Everywhere you go, there are mushy love songs and images of dewy-eyed couples as you battle your way through the shops. Not only that, but every party invite involves a plus one; it's enough to make anybody say bah-humbug!

But fear not, for there are some very good reasons to be single this Christmas:

Christmas parties are ideal for flirting and networking.Parties And The Secret Office Crush

Ever held a torch for a work colleague that you couldn't admit? Well the obligatory office Christmas party is a perfect way to impress said crush.

It's the ideal excuse to dress up a bit more than usual, feel more confident and, as if you needed any encouragement, over 80% of MSFers say they wouldn't rule out dating in the workplace!

The Dreaded In-Laws

One of the biggest problems with being coupled up is deciding which family to celebrate Christmas Day with.

But not for you! You can devote all your time to your own family, friends or you could even just relax by yourself. Just think, you won't be driven to distraction by the boring in-laws and overexcitable children.

Parcels And Stockings

Getting the right presents at Christmas can be stressful for anybody, whether you've got your shopping sorted before the end of November, or you're frantically trying to find the perfect gift on Christmas Eve.

Being single means you can go shopping on your own terms, rather than waiting for your partner to get their act together. It can also be cheaper, and you can use the money you save by not buying for your partner and their family to treat yourself!
