In honour of London Fashion Week, we thought we'd better find out if the most stylish men in the country are indeed in London or if another place in the UK merited its own fashion accolade.

We set out to find the top towns for men who are described by their friends as ‘Rather chic’, "A dedicated follower of fashion’ or ‘Smartly turned out’ and didn't we do well?

After many nibbled pencils and furrowed brows we've discovered the number one spot for well presented gents is Manchester, with 48%.

Beating Brighton, London and Liverpool to the number one position, Manchester is offcially the best place to find a smart chap on the site. So, London lads, you may have your own week of fashion, but for the other 51 weeks of the year, Manchester is beating you hands down in the style stakes. Pull your socks up please!
