The Sexiest Moustache Of All Time?

Actor Johnny Depp has pocketed first prize in our poll to find the sexiest moustache wearer of all time, as voted for by female MSFers. With 46.3% of the vote, a veritable lip hair landslide was achieved by the dapper Depp, with Tom Selleck, Clark Gable and Brandon Flowers following in second, third and fourth place respectively. Poor old  Charlie Chaplin and John Cleese didn't get much of a look in.

While the girls collectively swooned for Depp, the guys selected Tom Selleck as the "coolest moustache wearer of all time", followed closely in second place by Burt Reynolds, Depp then David Niven.

The most surprising result we received, however, was the style of moustache that the ladies found the sexiest. Against such hirsute heavyweights as "Trucker" and "Major", a moustache style entitled "Lame", or bumfluff to you and me, garnered the most votes, a great result for men everywhere who, like me, can't grow a proper moustache. In a similar poll asking boys which style of moustache they would choose to grow, the results were understandably different. "Trucker" came out on top, followed by "Rock Star", "Freestyler" and the flamboyant "Connoisseur".
