"Neither of us had tried internet dating before," Annika told us. "We'd both previously been if fairly long term relationships and were in our mid-thirties, so it was with tredpidation on both sides that we joined an online dating site in 2008. But it wasn't just any online dating site! MSF came with good credentials; my best friend had met her now-husband on the site a few months before.

Once on, I was worried that with so many worryingly attractive women on the site I would get lost in a sea of faces but I was found by other people like me and I got enough interested people to make me feel positve and keep going. After three weeks of chatting to David every few days through MSF we met in a pub. I'd had two other dates before this, he'd had three.

I couldn't believe how well we got on from the first moment we met! The messaging through the site had given me the confidence to meet him without feeling awkward and what a relief not to stand around in bars hoping to meet someone or have my friends feel they had to match me up with someone.

Completely as his profile described him, David was everything I knew I wanted and, more importantly, none of the things I knew I didn't want. Now, three years on, we have a gorgeous baby daughter and every day I feel lucky that we met. Thank you MSF!"
