Success story: Joanne and Paul

Happy Friday MSFers! We trust you've got some exciting dates lined up for the weekend, and to send you off to them in a positive mood we've got another success story for you. This week it's the turn of Joanne and Paul who got married in September.

"Living in a fairly rural area I didn't rate my chances of meeting that special person in my local so thought online dating would be a really good way of meeting people outside my usual circle of friends," says Paul. "I had only been on MSF for a few weeks before meeting a lovely email from Joanne. This year I've come across more and more people who have met partners through online dating. It's proving to be a great way of meeting people and I would recommend it to anyone."

"I had been online since the summer and was on the point of having a break from trying to meet someone through the internet," says Joanne. "The Paul's profile came up as just having joined the site and straight away I felt that I wanted to contact him. The second I saw him on our first date I just remember his fantastic friendly smile. We had a lovely evening and I was so pleased to have spent a lovely evening in great company. We met again two days later for our next date as we felt that we'd hit it off straight away."

"We both feel it was love at first site and were engaged within two months of meeting. We got engaged at Friars Crag in Keswick in the Lake District (we went there for our first date away from our area and we both love the Lakes). We decided that we didn't want a long engagement and started thinking about what we would like to do for our perfect wedding a couple of months afterwards. We had a truly perfect wedding day surrounded by our family and close friends. There were many special moments and little touches, for example, we volunteer with Guide Dogs for the Blind so we had a 15 week old puppy in training with us to share the day. Both of the friends who added us to MSF, Vicky and Caroline, were there to celebrate our wedding with us and were over the moon that they helped us meet."
