I believe in leaving whatever I encounter in the world in a better place than when I found it. Hopefully to make a difference.
My friends would describe me as a loyal friend, a good listener, kind to and caring of others. Dependable in every day life and in a crisis.
I love being beside the sea, especially the wild Atlantic North Cornish coast. I have been lucky enough to travel to far flung places including South Africa and Mexico and many parts of Europe. I have flotilla sailed around the Greek islands and Turkey. I would like to continue exploring and travelling nearer home. ( I hate long haul flying) but its not as much fun on your own.
I love good food, seafood especially and enjoy cooking for friends and family but someone to share the chopping would be great.
I love the theatre, a good book, currently reading Richard E Grant's book, 'A Pocketful of Happiness'. I enjoy words and language. I am a bit of a petrolhead i love fast and classic cars.
I enjoy a good coffee or a glass of something chilled and sparkling with good company, watching the sun go down somewhere beautiful or curled up on the sofa. I love my family and cherish my friends. I have been a school governor, listened to children reading in school, set up a breakfast club and taught basic cooking skills as part of my role, I have chaired an access forum facilitating disabled access to historic buildings. I have trained as an alternative health therapist.
My claim to fame Is that I have helmed a Tall ship into Southampton.
Life is for living for those of us left behind.

I have two rescue dogs a Mastiff and a Frenchie, love me, love my dogs.
