Ok, so my family and friends can’t believe I’ve been internet dating for so long without having any lasting success, that might suggest I am being unrealistic and looking for the perfect woman but she doesn't exist anymore than the perfect man does! Ideally looking to meet someone of a similar age who wants to find a new life partner as I do, someone who enjoys good food, short breaks and longer holidays, has a passion for and an eclectic taste in music as I have.
I have been what I would consider successful in business in the past (with all of the trappings that this brings) but have different priorities nowadays having taken a step back from the demands of commuting to work in London some years ago and moved to the beautiful south-west for a better work/life balance.
I think I'm tactile and love skin to skin contact with my partner including holding hands and don't have a problem with showing affection in public. Swimming in the dating pond with all the other fishes waiting for someone to cast me a line.

Someone who enjoys good food, eating out occassionally but also making a nice meal together. Enjoys music of all types, or is at least prepared to give something unfamiliar a try. Likes to travel, not just exotic but also within the UK, and weekends away visiting places of interest.
First date? I think a daytime meet for tea/coffee to start, anything longer might become uncomfortable for either party if the chemistry isn't there. A second proper date if all goes well!
