About her
Hello, I'm a witty, committed public servant (civil servant lawyer). I have a wry sense of humour - well you have to, working government. I suppose I'm what is called an extroverted introvert. I'm sociable, and enjoy being with people, but I am a bit reserved when I first meet someone. I'm just sussing you out... I'm pretty straight up, I like to laugh, and I cannot stand bullshit. I am quite cerebral, I like to analyse things.
I enjoy the arts - at work I've co-founded a culture club, and we go to the theatre, exhibitions, the cinema.
I like to travel, and I lived in central America for a year (Belize), but I also like home. Country walks in wild landscapes. I'm originally from Belfast, I suppose the landscape from your childhood gets into your blood.
I had knee surgery earlier this year (ligament replacement after a skiing accident) which put a bit of a dampener on my sporting activities, but I'm recovering well, I can cycle again and do challenging walks, as well as my usual yoga and Pilates. I'll be back indoor climbing in another couple of months I reckon.

I'm looking for someone considerate and caring. I'm definitely not looking to play the field anymore, and I want to meet someone who wants (or who already has) a family.
I like a dry wit, and it would be good to share some interests, but we wouldn't need to be all matchy-matchy. I'm fine with doing things independently, I don't like to be in anyone's pocket.

This is so exciting! I feel like Cyrano de Bergerac, except I get to make the case for the lovely Roxane rather than the boring guy whose name nobody can remember. Viv is, as you can tell from the picture, an attractive blonde, so I would like to delve into the qualities that lie beneath her alabaster surface. Kindness, loyalty and integrity are the unshakable foundations of her character. We've been friends for over 20 years and I can't think of a time when she hasn't treated people well. This doesn't make her humourless, however, quite the opposite. She can be deliciously sharp-tongued and despite her soft heart she has a great line in tart wit. You may not realise quite how funny Viv can be on first meeting her because she is a little shy. Although very sociable, she is initially reserved, and I have never seen anyone quite so rubbish at flirting! That's not to say that she isn't physical or adventurous - she loves dancing, climbing, travelling and yoga, as well as lying around and being lazy.
I haven't even mentioned how intelligent and perceptive she is because you'll discover this quite easily. Viv works as a lawyer, advising on government policy and seems to always have been drawn to areas like housing: she has a practical turn of mind as well as a social conscience. Beauty, intelligence, thoughtfulness, principles and a sense of fun; what more could you ask for?
