I first got matey with John when he came to work as a designer on my old magazine, and knew him by reputation alone. He was the cheeky Northerner who happened to live in a bloody great castle. The man who loved to stay in for a spot of gaming as much as he loved his beer. Yep, my pal truly is a man of many contradictions...

True to his Cumbrian roots, John is always up for a mad night on the town and - a good lad to the end - always happy to look after his mates if they get themselves into a scrape. But while John's the life of the party and a popular guy with the lads, that doesn't mean he's not got a whole load to offer the ladies too. See, there's a quieter side to my mate that's less to do with pints and kebabs and all to do with wanting to settle down with the right girl. He always seems to have rotten luck when it comes to the ladies but - as I've often witnessed firsthand - it's rarely any fault of his own... so I reckon he could do with a change in fortunes! Hopefully that's where this site comes in!

So, what else is there to say about John? Well, in terms of fashion he's also hands-down the office's best-dressed man, and the subject of much mickey-taking when he rolls in clad in designer tee with pink neon piping. But, really, we're all just jealous that we can't pull it off with the aplomb he can. (See, I've finally admitted it!). One thing you will have to prepare yourself for though is his seemingly endless deluge of terrible jokes and puns. He thinks they're HILARIOUS. They're really not. Don't say I didn't warn you...
