Stu is a unique and wonderful guy! At first he comes across as quite shy, but spend a bit of time with him and he is a man of hidden depths, great intelligence and a very witty, dry sense of humour.

An immensely talented musician, I have spent many happy hours listening to him perform at parties, concerts, gigs etc. I am totally in awe of his musical genius.

He is also a really trustworthy and reliable friend. I lived in a shared house with Stu in my years after university, and he would often sit for ages listening to my tales of romantic woe and offering wise words of advice! He's an excellent listener, which is a rare quality in a male, and very perceptive. He spends a lot of time thinking and reading about philosophy and the meaning of life, which makes for intense and interesting conversations about the stuff that really matters.

He also loves the great outdoors, spending a lot of time on countryside walks and if there's a pub serving real ale en route so much the better!
