In His Own Words

About him

How is airplane vs volcano a real film? As you might have guessed I am watching the syfy channel (well accidentally flicked onto it). All these films give me the hope that I could one day be an actor, or director, or writer, not that any of those things are dreams of mine. My only dream really is to have a nice family and do something morally productive with my life (i.e. beyond making money).

In the meantime, while I slowly (/neglibily) work towards that dream, I enjoy travelling and sport and it would be great to share the travelling with someone special (the sport I have enough people to share it with - but if you are interested that's great).

Oh my god, airplane vs volcano has the actor that was Superman in the New Adventures of Superman, that is definitely more exciting than the volcanoes threatening the plane, and that is how you link back to the start of a story/ introduction (incredibly badly!)

P.s. i do not recommend watching Airplane vs Volcano, you watch it at your own risk!

P.p.s i don't have many photos as I don't do selfies and generally think people ruin scenic photos, I also occasionally have a beard, and generally am somewhere between stubble and light beard. If you like beards, give me about 2 months notice so I can grow it out a bit.

What His Friends Say

Well girls, the term "scrubs up well" describes Tom to a tee, particularly when he has ironed his favourite shirt and has surrendered to the razor. Tall, dark, and handsome, I am informed, is at least 60% accurate.

A social sort, he's one of those people able to chat to random strangers about any topic. If you enjoy a decent debate, and have a moderate tolerance for droll sarcasm and tall tales then you will get on well. He's a top bloke, or a "sweetie", depending on the gender of those asked, and ever the gentleman: he is the sort of chap to offer you his seat (unless the match is on).

It's fair to say that Tom can usually be found ensconced in one of his local pubs (in between charity runs and sweating down the gym, natch) plotting his next spreadbet, and is always the first to suggest hitting a club on the way home.

He would definitely get on well with someone who has at least a passing interest in playing or spectating either tennis, rugby or cricket - or if you're a Crystal Palace fan (who isn't?!) then you've hit the jackpot.

If, like me, you don't know a ridiculous offside from a silly mid-off, then he is also quite the political commentator as well as keeping up on what's happening in the latest Heat magazine (borrowed, not bought though). Although modest to a fault, he has inherited the brainy gene from his PhD parents - although this has not so far translated to pub quiz success.

So, in short, he's smart, sporty, and sociable. Oh, and he is extremely generous with both his time and money, so drop him an email and get him to meet you in the most expensive bar in town...
