I guess at the first stage chemistry & attraction are key & then after that a deeper loving bond can develop against the generic background of honesty, kindness, humour, intelligence, contentment.
After that it's a question of what you do for work & where that's heading and what you do in your spare time - or would like to do.

I've been lucky enough to know Andy for over 12 years. He has been an amazing friend for road trips, music festivals and even quiet trips to the cinema. Every girl should have a friend who she can talk to and trust. Andy has always been direct in his intentions and consistent in his dedication to our friendship.
What is even more comforting is that he doesn't muck people about. He has his own life in order and isn't looking to find someone else to look after him. Too many men seem to want a mother or a nanny when they meet a woman. Thank God this isn't Andy.
He is the kind of guy who appreciates the diversity of everyone he meets. He even likes my dogs that he is allergic to!
One of the things I respect the most is his level headedness. He's got his own flat and car and all the material things in life but that isn't where his heart lies. He is passionate about new experiences and living in the moment. He is also truthful to his word. If you need something done or a confidence kept, he will honour his word. That is priceless.
It's a joy calling Andrew a friend. Someone really lucky will get to call him something more!
