In His Own Words
About him
I am a forty three year old researcher. I find out what is happening to missing people on the "ground level" so that those in charge of the charity and the police can have more focused policies for improving the situation. When I have time I write poems and children's short stories and have had a few poems published in journals. I also perform my poems in pubs and similar locations with other poets. I deeply enjoy listening to music from JS Bach to Stockhausen and from the beatles to the scissor sisters. I am looking for a kind and gentle person who would be a life long best friend - who would sometimes challenge me and make me learn and whom I could support so that she was happy and the person she really wanted to be
Profession: Research Assistant for Charity

What His Friends Say
richard said...
Richard is my oldest friend (not age wise!). We went to the same South London school and the same university (Exeter) where he studied History.
Richard is one of the kindest people I know, very thoughtful and considerate, someone who rings to check in with you when he knows stuff is happening in your life. Working for the Missing People charity fits with this compassionate personality.
Richard also has a keen intellect, chairs a creative writing group, is an avid reader both of history and fiction and has a love for a wide range of music, from classical to ABC. If you are very lucky you may even get to hear him play the piano, pure improv, coming deep from the soul.
Whilst I am sure he would agree he isn't the sportiest or most athletic person in the world Richard is prepared to get stuck in, sometimes as when playing my six year old son at football perhaps slightly beyond his comfort zone! Much more in his zone is his command of accents and impersonations, particular favourites (of mine and my children) include Frank Spencer and movie voice overs.
Richard is a wonderful blend of fun and seriousness, so if you are ready for a bit of both then get in touch.
