Generous, funny, laid-back, sharp, highly intelligent, an in-depth knowledge of football*, politics and (usefully for pub quizzes) facts in general.

Inclusive, game for a laugh and an adventure (usually the one to start both), spontaneous, but capable of being settled, thoughtful, cheeky, creative, loyal, inquisitive, giving, blends in well to any social situation (this is a must in my book!), approachable, smiley, conscientious, protective, insightful, left-leaning...did I say funny? Talented in many areas...a thoroughly modern man...an amazing listener and a wonderful friend who has been there for me through thick and thin. I imagine he is a parent whisperer, but I have yet to test this theory. He'll laugh at your jokes (so long as you're funny). I don't think I've ever heard that man complain once or heard one single bad word said about him...The fact he is still life-long friends with mates from school and uni is a reflection of someone who knows what's important in life...

I think the fact he's able to hold down an often haphazard and, quite frankly, potentially superficial freelance career in TV (as a director, producer and writer) and still look after two gorgeous dogs, really shows where his hearts at. There's no dark secret to why he's single - he just is.

Don't get me wrong, though - he's no pushover, so don't get any ideas about taking advantage of his generosity or laid back nature...you'll also have to be pre-approved by his mongrel, one of his dogs - she's a hard nut to crack. His other dog will sit on anyone, so don't think you're home free on that one either.

Oh and he's an excellent hugger...
