Don't be fooled by her Australian accent, our Maia is Scandinavian through and through. Danish to be exact. She learned English as a kid watching Round the Twist and Neighbours. Then earned her stripes working in Australia and London before studying biology in Glasgow. I think she's super smart but she doesn't see it - she's a scientific researcher and speaks 3 languages fluently for goodness sake. She's more likely to tell people about her latest muppet moment than what she's just discovered in the lab. Maia loves going to see stand up comedy and is but is probably happiest watching one of her favourite bands playing live with a well-earned pint in her hand. In the 8 years I have known her, Maia has definitely made my life better. Even when we're stuck working long hours together she never fails to make me smile.
