I work in London. I am a happy, fun loving guy., who sees this medium as the most obvious (and logical) method of trying to find that someone special. I am way past going to bars and nightclubs in the vain hope of meeting someone nice. I notice how someone looks first but I am soon concentrating and enjoying what that person values in life. I am a good natured man who takes good care of himself but likes to live life to the full. I am looking for a that someone special that I can enjoy 'chilli Con Carne & Sparkling Champagne' (Nat King Cole) with. I take life seriously but I love to laugh and see the funny and sometimes absurd side of life. I am as happy watching the sunset, cooking and going to the theatre as I am watching the stars, eating chips by the seafront and reading a good book/enjoying a good movie.
I really don't think that distance should be a barrier or reason not to consider someone who has the qualities and values that you seek-it is just a problem that needs to be solved.
