I am a contented, warm-hearted guy with an eclectic mix of interests. I lived and worked abroad for many years (Germany, USA, Paris) which certainly broadened my outlook (as well as being a great time). I am a scientist by training but have a creative streak and deep appreciation of the arts. The books on my shelves range from philosophy and psychology to Monty Python and music. Music is often playing in my house and it varies from pick-me-up bossa nova to chill-out classical. I live in the country and the sounds of nature (eg bird song) are also a good background music.

I like the outdoor life (walks or a light cycle ride in the countryside – with a lovely country pub perhaps), the culture cities have to offer (art house cinema, theatre, gigs, galleries etc), but am rarely bored indoors at home (Sunday papers with toast and tea, a bit of yoga, guitar playing, bongo bashing, working my way quietly through those books and perhaps a bit of culinary creativity). I appreciate good discussions, laughter and I think kissing and cuddling are under-rated. Oh yes, and I also like dogs – the larger the better!!

Someone who is confident in their appearance and happy in their own skin with a passion and a curiosity for life. Authenticity is important, as is laughter - including at yourself.
