Rich and I have worked together for over 10 years now and, in that time, he has become much more of a friend than a work colleague. He's the kind of guy who restores your faith in the fact that there are decent men in this world, with a great attitude to life and a refreshingly healthy moral compass.
Most importantly, he's someone I trust implicitly and feel very comfortable confiding in. I've lost count of the amount of times he's supported me on both a work and a personal level over the years. I've also learnt a huge amount from him as he has an encyclopaedic knowledge of most things, so you will never run out of conversation. He takes a genuine interest in people and also has a wickedly dry sense of humour.
He loves good food and great wine and is really into his cycling and fitness so you need to have similar interests if you want to connect with him on the right level.
If you spend time with Rich he will treat you with absolute respect and I suspect make you feel like a bit of a princess. Come on girls, who doesn't want to be treated like that. Say 'hi'. You won't regret it.
