I’m Jim from the wild hills and rugged coast of Exmoor..
Lived and worked in West Somerset for past 25 years, tho' am not a Somerset guy, I’m from bonnie Scotland originally...I’ve recently taken early retirement working for the National Trust as education officer in History and Art Interpretation for schools, colleges and universities but still undertake historical research for the property as and when queries arise.....
I now indulge big time in my lifelong passion for painting, which are displayed and sold on line, and writing historical books ...The coastal cliffs along here inspire me to paint seascape and sunset vistas. Also a source of inspiration is walking midst the golden gorse and purple, heather clad high open moors, domain of the red deer, wild Exmoor ponies and soaring buzzards or in the atmospheric thickly wooded combes that abound close to these shores, historic haunt of pirates and smugglers...

I have this quality time 'cause the bairns have all grown up and fled the nest. My two daughters and two son are living and working in Aukland, New Zealand.
