Within a few days of meeting Alison we found ourselves staring at a naked man together for several hours. We were art students and we spent the next year trying not to feel awkward drawing him. I've known Alison for over 20 years and its about the only thing she's ever seemed awkward about. Alison is the warmest and most relaxed person I know. She takes life in her stride. There have been significant men in her life, but no kids (unless you count her delinquent parents). She deserves the company of a really good man. I don't think she'd be bothered what your past holds or what you do now - she'll just take that in her stride. But I think she'd like you to be equally relaxed and interested in sharing the good stuff in life. Other things you need to know.... she is successful and works hard in central London, she's creative, prone to self effacement, allergic to diva behaviour (it's beyond her), likely to be busy tiling her own bathroom when you call so let the phone ring a bit, passionate about rock music and movies and likely to ignore you on the train because her nose is in her Kindle.
