About him
I work in the Aerospace industry, but I am not quite a ‘Rocket Scientist', so please don't let that put you off.
My main pastimes, you will be relieved to know, are not football and team sports, but I do very much enjoy outdoor pursuits such as walking, long-distance country trekking, climbing and hence photography as a by-product, especially wildlife. I have a great fondness for annimals and always support events for them.
I like to regard myself as a polymath and I do like to indulge not just in Science, but also in the Arts and History, as a favourite visiting galleries and museums, whenever possible.
I am also quite a movie buff and regard myself as a film aficionado.
Also, as a pastime, I do writing for various magazines and I write comedy one-liners, which are used on occasion by the BBC.
I have never been married and so don’t have any children, but have no problems with them.
So, hopefully I am just a normal 'fella', with a bit of an edge.

Roy is a truly amazing guy. He has two science honors degrees from one of the top redbrick universities in this country and now works in the Aerospace industry. But at the same time he is a true Renaissance man and sees the beauty in the world about him particularly in wildlife and nature. He is a compassionate and feeling man with a true altruistic generosity to his friends no matter what diversity they find themselves in.
He is a fascinating conversationalist. Yes ladies, he can talk and unlike the usual mumbles and grunts that you get from men.
In his past holidays he has walked across England and walked across Scotland! He was planning to walk across Iceland, when the volcano erupted.
He is a film buff aficionado and can usually gives you quotes, from every film he has seen and the year and often gives you insight that you never considered. He opened my eyes to the 're-birth' in the film Gravity. He has also written comedy lines for some well known films and TV series.
He is adept at writing comedy and extreme Mathematics, hence a true Renaissance man.
He is also a very caring person that cares deeply about animals and will always go the extra mile for anyone worse off than himself
