So, me and Jo were talking about life and the impact of 3 brothers on her experience and she eloquently (as usual) described each of them, identifying their conflicting attributes - able to see their individual qualities with clarity and define them in a concise way (the opposite to me). As she described them, it occurred to me that she could have been talking about different aspects of herself; the eldest, independent, focused, innovative; middle one, adventurous, funny (absurd), empathic; and the youngest, sensitive, profound, thoughtful. On top of that, I would say (nb this is not an exhaustive list) she is kind, super fit, curious, fun loving, caring, energetic, intellectual, generous, extremely well-travelled and outdoorsy/activity loving; And a bit of a rebel; Oh and she has the most beautiful sparkly eyes that are full of love and laughter. And she continues to surprise me even after having been a best friend (& sister in law) for over a decade.

But the most amazingly wonderful beautiful thing about Joey is that she is game for life, raring to go, but wants to do it together - with you, and/or her family/friends. And whenever we do anything (speaking on behalf of anyone who knows Jo and especially my kids), we want her to come because it is just more FUN with her. And in really tough times when fun hasn't been possible, she's still there in it together, but thoughtful, kind and patient. She sees the best in people and situations and totally accepts you for who you are.

Someone this special, who loves to give (and is very good at it) most definitely needs someone who's going to be good at giving back to her too - because just taking isn't cool. This someone has got to want to be her (equal) partner in crime; to travel and explore; to ski and sail; go camping and climb mountains; be part of the family; and be totally up for new and different opportunities and experiences. And I can guarantee that the right man will never look back.
