Hello!
I'd like to meet someone who enjoys active things. I like walking, hiking and cycling in particular. I also play a lot of tennis at a club I'm a member of.
I love exploring the UK as much as going abroad. Some of my favourite places in the UK are the Jurassic Coast in Dorset, the Isle of Wight, anywhere in Cornwall, Coed-y-Brenin forest in Wales and Grizedale forest in the Lake District. I'll also very happily walk up a mountain or two. Some of my favourite trips abroad have been visiting Yosemite national park in California and walking part of the tour of Mont Blanc in the Alps.
I enjoy all types of cycling - I have a mountain bike and a road bike and really enjoy seeing places on two wheels. A few years ago me and a friend cycled from Land's End to John o'Groats on our road bikes.
I also like cooking and relaxing in the garden on a nice day, and popping into London just to walk around or visit an exhibition or see a show. I love going to Wimbledon! I also like camping and usually go at least a few times a year, but also enjoy a nice hotel with a pool. I like most kinds of music. Some of my favourite bands/artists include Bedouin Soundclash and Manu Chao. I also have a bit of a thing for the VW Golf.
Work-wise I'm an associate assistant headteacher at a big secondary school, where among other things I lead the geography department and run lots of school trips. I'm fairly career-focussed but try to have clear weekends. I have a house near the centre of St Albans, I've never been married and don't have any kids. I'm interested in having a family one day but I'm philosophical that it might not happen for everyone. I'm lucky to have five nieces and nephews!
