About her
If you're looking for someone quiet who will blend into the background then you probably won't be interested in me. I'm not loud in the sense that I'll shout rather than talk however I do have a presence and a very colourful dress sense.
My parents were involved in amateur dramatics and so I grew up with this being a significant part of my life. In my teens I switched from being onstage to working behind the scenes putting together the props for productions. This appealed to my creative side as pantomimes often called for unusual objects such as fake gramophones and hats shaped like telephones! In recent years I returned to appearing on stage but a rather stressful experience has led to a rest from am dram. Instead I joined Rock Choir. As yet I've not performed in public with them but the weekly rehearsals are fun and uplifting which is enough for me.
This might give the impression that I'm some kind of luvvy diva. Believe me I'm not. I can be quiet and calm when I want to be. My mum claims I always liked fiddling with stuff as a child which is probably where my crafting stems from. I'm yet to master the art of knitting and somewhere there is a half finished blouse but I take pride in my greetings cards and have discovered that some commissions have subsequently been framed and now hang on bedroom walls.
I do have a serious side. At work (I work in project management) I'm known for being a thinker, a problem solver and generally someone who gets the job done. I suspect my bosses think I'm a bit odd but as long as I'm doing a good job I'm fine with them thinking that.

I live in hope that there is a chap out there who can cope with my quirks. He should be someone with a strong sense of self who isn't afraid to express their opinions but is also prepared to agree to disagree. He should be someone who makes me laugh. It sounds a cliché I know but I've grown up in a house where laughter has been commonplace and being able to laugh with family and friends is important to me. An animal lover - that's also important as I have grown up with various pets and currently have a cat. He should be someone who shows an interest in the world around him and has hobbies/interests. Ideally we'd have hobbies in common but a willingness to share would be good.
