About him
I am an educated science enthusiast, with a part two BSc in Physics. I was the victim of a 'Hit and Run' after finishing my second year of University, in 1981. I have scars on my body, as a result of this accident, I have a trachaeotomy scar, at my throat, for example. Also, I suffer with Aquired Brain Injury, which means that I have some difficulty with my recall of memory. I have been taking courses, as rehabilitation, since my RTA. I qualified as a masseur and I have been a First Aider, but this is now out-of-date. I am now taking a course, at college, in Carpentry and Joinery (level 1).
I have been married, to a disabled woman, and I was her carer for the two years of our marriage. Sadly, she died after contracting a kidney infection, at her younger brother's funeral, in Scotland.
I like to think that I am optimistic and fun, I enjoy many kinds of music, from Beethoven to Black Sabbath!
My favourite groups and musicians were and are still, Genesis, particularly the guitarist Steve Hackett, who came to visit me in hospital, back in Liverpool where I was born, grew up and was educated. I am also a great fan of other Rock Bands, and particularly the drummer Cozy Powell, who I contacted through his fan-club, after my RTA.
About his ideal match
Ideally, my partner will be fairly slim, or at least have no weight problem, because I have a 'healthy' appetite. I enjoy many foods, but can't stomach mushroom or shell fish.
I also prefer any partner not to smoke, this is very important to me, both my grandfathers and my mother and father died because they were smokers, and as a child, I suffered with asthma. I was allergic to the household dust mite, and there were times that I couldn't stay on the same room as my parents, because of the smoke. I would go to my bedroom, to read my books. I love Science Fiction and popular science books and articles.
