About him
Hi there, I was here once before and met a lovely woman but it was not destined to last, so here I am again. I am looking for someone that I can share life with and some interests. I am well travelled, having had a career that has taken me all over the world. I am open minded to other cultures and I have had a life that I cannot complain about. I am now semi retired and it suits me fine. It would be great to hear from you. I guess I am looking for the 'happily ever after' and if you are a bit of a Bridget Jones (slimmer version like in the last movie, YES I saw them all, on my own too) then you would have a good sense of humour that I would find endearing. I guess we all have our 'ideal' we search for in someone, for me it is pretty, definately slim, humourous, romantic, the rest I am open to you being who ever you are. There must be a 'Miss Right' out there somewhere. As for me I'm happy with life, a calm relaxed person, I am what my profile says really. I share my home with a cat (Bengal Leopard cat) and a dog (a Saluki, who is a former military dog now enjoying his well deserved retirement). A tricky one ... definitely a non smoking person. Someone who is slim/average/athletic but you don't have to be some 'gym junkie' someone to share life and laughs with would be good. Someone who is romantic, kind, caring, with a sense of humour. I don't think that is asking for the world. Oh it is not that important but I have a weakness for 'freckles' but not essential. :o) Jon.

Hello, My friend Jon has asked me to write a recommendation for him on this dating site and I am happy to but this is a first for me so I'm not promising miracles here. I have known Jon for over 30 years from meeting him when we served together in the Army. Professionally he is the man to be friends with because he is the one most likely to get you home safely.
