About him
I'm completely unattached, fit, well-educated and witty. Very keen on sport, cooking and eating good food. I played cricket from 1972 to 2017 and, after being an administrator and umpire, I am playing again for a while (2023-4) and have now been asked to return to my club's management team as Chairman. Former teacher and cricket centre manager, now retired. I am most partial to good quality wine, my music preferences are quite wide and I also enjoy quizzes and crosswords. Now graduated to being able to complete the Telegraph cryptic most days! I like animals, especially dogs. As of last year, I've now become quite interested in gardening, too! Looking for a long-term relationship and to enjoy hobbies, travel (home and abroad) and a little passion with the right person. In fact, now I've the time to, I have been on 17 foreign holidays (Prague, Poland, Lisbon, Tenerife, Lanzarote(3), Madeira(2), Cyprus, Alicante, Budapest, Skiathos, Ireland, Copenhagen, Porto and a short cruise...) and 147 local walks in the last 5 years. I can't really guess how she'll look, but I would need to find her attractive, of course: it's that "chemistry" thing! She would be quite sharp intellectually, enjoy having a laugh and perhaps a passing interest in sport, but we can enjoy our own interests separately, too. I'd prefer someone with no ties, but I'm fairly open about that. It would be nice if we could get out (walking, beaching, maybe running a bit) and enjoy the countryside, beaches, etc and travel abroad as well. I have started doing that on my own, but it would be much more enjoyable with a companion.
