To set the tone and be honest from the start, Jess is my sister which I hope means I'm pretty well placed to write this for her.
Five words: Smart, Confident, Curious, Humble, Passionate. I think these five words are pretty much the foundation of her. Her curiousity has led her to be successful in the conventional sense (academically and career), while maintaining a chilled perspective, ensuring that she also fills her time with friends, family, love and adventure. Whatever she does, from organizing amazing themed parties, discovering new places, to sharing love with her friends and family, she does it 100%, with passion and modesty. Time spent with her is a guaranteed pleasure.
I have so many stories to share but one in particular is when Jess came to visit me when I was living in Kenya. We hired ourselves a 4x4 and drove off into the mainland to visit the wilderness. As expected the week was full soul-food chats, belly hurting laughs, plenty of glasses of wine and a several exhilarating mishaps which make for great stories. For example, getting worrying close to a herd of teeth-bearing hippos or me driving our 4x4 into a ditch in lion country... as usual Jess took all these in her stride.
That's just one example of her living life to the full and always making the most of every opportunity. Others include her working out in Myanmar for a while, coastal fun at home, her amazing themed parties, retreats in India while training as a Yoga instructor. .. In addition to her out-going, confident and curious side, she is also incredibly warm and compassionate. Her ability to care is just in her nature, it's apparent from the day you meet her. She has a rare warmth that immediately puts people at ease and she genuinely cares about those around her. She is an example of the strength that can be found in tenderness. You don't don't need to worry about any games with this one, just be authentic and that's what you'll get back in return.
