About him
I'm a 66 yr old man with the spirit of a youngster. I firmly believe that fun can be had whatever your age.
My friends tell me that I'm kind, loyal and genuine, but that I also have a wild side.
Obviously I'm a dog lover and I therefore enjoy walking in the countryside whatever the season.
I care about the natural world, and closer to home I enjoy maintaining my garden. This includes growing my own flowers and vegetables. I have even won 2nd prize for my potatoes. Watch out Monty Don!
I'm very active and swim regularly all year round but I'm a bit of a fair-weather cyclist.
I love the arts, particularly visits to galleries, music concerts and the theatre.
To relax I like to paint a little and I do read a variety of literature, especially crime fiction.
I'm left-leaning politically but that doesn't mean I can't appreciate different views to my own - and I do enjoy a great debate!
My outlook on life is that I'm an eternal optimist always looking forward to the next chapter.

My ideal match would be a woman with a strong personality, who knows her own mind , but who also has a marshmallow centre.
She would need to be able to hold an intelligent
conversation and have a sense of humour.
Compassion and loyalty are essential.
