I'd like to find someone caring, compassionate, sensitive and intelligent.
I’ve travelled all over Europe, the US and parts of the Middle East, and I often think how lucky I am to have seen so many places.
I used to be an historian, then worked for Ministers in Westminster, quitting just before Brexit. I now work as a charitable trust strategist. My work, to some extent, is portable, and transportable. Although I spent twelve amazing years at universities, I now prefer adventure, practical challenges like rebuilding houses, trekking, swimming, road-trips, cycling, and learning new languages.
I grew up in the UK and abroad and have lived in many places. Fresh air is in my DNA. I’m always learning and try to do things I love, at least part of the time.
I enjoy being with people who are happy, humorous, caring, and who can put others first. A match for me would be someone patient, optimistic, pragmatic and self-aware. While I have my own (recently-rebuilt!) house, I don’t mind where I live. It took me a long time to realise that the energy of a place and the people who live in it are more important than where it's located.
