About him
Of course not perfect, but my long term friends will know me as a decent guy, loyal, generous of spirit and compassionate. From a working class background where we did not over express. Learned over the course of the last three years to be more open and expressive about my feelings (it is a man thing?) and intuitive/listening to others.
I see that the last few year has been challenging on so many levels to lots of people and that it has equally brought out some of the best in people as well. I remain ready to share and enjoy with you cultural, epicurean, travel and physical pursuits. I think I am a good listener (maybe too good a talker!), appreciably left wing, practical and worldly curious.
Despite my very working class upbringing my radio is tuned to R4, but digitally now frequently drifting to R3 - must be an age thing. Moved from London to Norfolk Coast 20 years ago, but moved in to Norwich a year ago as it was just too quiet once I had `retired`. I do not do enough sport, I do walk, but cannot swim! I do not ski, snowboard, ride a horse, paraglide, nor sail. You will not see me pictured over, under or in a fancy car.
I do not own a suit, own only four sets of footwear and drive a 13 year old car! I hope this gives a nod as to my lack of interest in 'things'. Fairly minimalist and find going to 'tip' therapeutic!

My wardrobe could be better - fewer better clothes I suspect. Never knowingly consume Coca Cola or Nestle products and have not visited MacDonald's for over 30 years. Stopped full time work 4 years ago...still looking to do part time voluntary work.
I have done a reasonable amount of travelling - behind the `iron curtain` when it was there, further afield since.
I would like to start by meeting someone to spend time with to explore and enjoy what`s out and about and then see how that goes. Simple really (?)

I would like to meet a warm, smart, kind, friendly, worldly aware, travelled, empathetic, sexy, smiley person. Ideally slim(ish) and reasonably fit, though need not be a gym bunny or triathlon athlete - though a trainee could take me in hand!
Attitude and empathy well up my score chart. Politically I am very left and find the current political situation frustrating. I have a seemingly innate sense of fighting injustice, which has caused me some small setbacks over time. As I get older realise that I need to focus a bit more on making me happy and need to extend that and share it in to an `us`. No guarantee's that will be be you, but we will not know if we are not willing to give it a try...
