Richard is one in a million, one of the best friends you could ever wish for. He is a gentleman, caring, thoughtful, kind, generous, loyal, proactive, calm and supportive. Richard also has a brilliant sense of humour. Great at DIY and problem solving, Richard has a helpful pair of hands and he gets enjoyment from helping people. I have never heard Richard raise his voice in all the time I have known him, although he does not suffer fools and is assertive when required to be.

Richard talks to everyone and anybody, from young to old and leaves a good impression (I am sure all that know him would tell you the same as I write here). He is fantastic with children, diffusing sibling disagreements, catching spiders, being silly and playing games. He is also very caring about animals.

Richard's unselfish nature means he has concentrated on raising his daughter for the last 19 years (single handed). After doing such a good job of setting his daughter up for adulthood, Richard has needed some convincing that he can now focus on himself and find someone to share his laughter and happiness with, in a romantic capacity.

I am sure Richard will be able to tell you all about the events that led up to us almost missing a taxi to the airport in Croatia, therefore almost not getting to the airport on time for our flight. A funny story as a mix up with the times meant I was swimming, instead of getting in the taxi. However being so modest, Richard may leave out how he calmed down an angry taxi driver, to the point they became friends (the taxi driver gave Richard his phone number to call him for the next time he visited the country). Even when the hotel messed up and further complicated the situation by taking Richard's suitcase (and putting it in the wrong place), only discovered once at the airport. Richard remained calm and sought a solution quickly.

Whoever Richard chooses to become his life partner, I am sure they will see all these good qualities, and more, as they spend time with him.
