About him
Competent in the kitchen and generally good and creative with my hands. Tactile, affectionate without being embarrassingly clingy or needy. I find people fascinating, animals beautiful and the natural world a poser of endless questions; perhaps if I looked a little more closely it would provide some answers to those questions.
At home, you are more likely to find me sitting behind a piano than in front of a television, or in the garden fondling my gooseberries. This year will see me off in the camper at music festivals and possibly some puffin spotting.
Running and exercise have kept me sane in and out of Lockdown, together with an obsession with parkrun that has taken me all over the UK. My dulcet Northern tones can recite poetry and issue filth in equal measure, as the occasion demands.
Home is a tranquil cottage in Sleepy Hollow, a village on the edge of South Gloucestershire. Currently undergoing extensive renovations as I pursue my ambition to become the next Tom Good.
The term 'easy going' is frequently flung around; whilst I am tolerant and understanding, I won't put up with dishonesty, princesses, edgy tension or fisticuffs. No matter how difficult the truth, I would rather have that than a lie.
The photographs were taken between 2018 and February 2023 - the photograph with pooch is the most recent. My Mum's genes have been kind in later life but were unreasonably cruel in my teens when it mattered the most. I have acquired the quiet confidence that comes with age and know the value of a comfortable silence, passing hugs and an unasked for cup of tea.

It isn't a long list and it isn't particularly unreasonable:
Someone who understands the power of a kind word, has an appreciation of the natural world and is happy outdoors. Puffins and parkruns frequently crop up in my life so you need to be open to travel and adventures in campervans, tents and quirky hotels. Penguins are also good - who doesn't like a penguin?
I am not intimidated by your independence - in fact, that is something that would turn me on. I will take delight in your success, and comfort you in times of distress. I have yet to see cosmetics improve the natural beauty of any human face and I am more interested in the timbre of your voice than your appearance.
A successful weekend could include muddy fingernails, cups of tea, passing hugs, mutual tittering, comfortable silences, open fires and meaningful conversations.
Heading in the same general direction, but perhaps not always sharing the exact same path, agreeing to disagree, respectful and interested.
Of course, you might be none of the above; It all comes down to chemistry. I am not a chemist, but if you have bothered to read this far and have seen something of interest , a quick message would help reassure me that the World still has an element of normality about it. Although we are probably all here looking for the same thing - someone to assist in putting a duvet cover on.
