Hi there, here is just a little bit about me.
I am a fun sociable person who’s easy to get a long with.
I enjoy meeting like minded people, no time for drama.
It would be nice to have a special person in my life but at the same time I am quite happy with life on my own enjoying time with friends & family.
I have lived alone since being widowed in January 2007 aged 49 (work the math out, yes I’m 66🥴) & still can’t believe it!
I was born in Leek in Staffordshire, lived in Derbyshire for 13yrs then moved to Guildford in 2016 to be closer to my two daughters & their family’s in order to hopefully regain that family sense of belonging again, which I have! ✔️
Plus when old age creeps up on me it’s best to be local rather than 3hr trips up the M1.
Since the Covid restrictions have eased, I have joined/helped start a private ladies group locally]; thankfully fabulous friendships have been made with local ladies which has definitely added to my life & theirs. I’m a real organiser, so lots of theatre trips, meals out, walks etc are back in my diary. 👏👏
I love live music, musical theatre, visiting stately homes/gardens, pub meals, group walks, eating out, cinema, a nice well kept garden & home.
Family is very important to me but we have always been very individual & absolutely do our own thing. I’m not one of those possessive mothers as I like to have a life of my own.

For those of us who have got used to living alone & pleasing ourselves we have perhaps grown a fear of feeling compromised when having to consider a potential partner again before planning to spend time with others……
