About him
My friends would describe me as a 'lovely guy' - but I'll leave that to them. Things that matter a lot to me are (in no order): nature, running, spending time with good friends, cooking, reading, kindness, camping, cycling, open fires, the French language, camping, social justice, mountains, gardens, horses, sea swimming, beaches, trying new things and not getting stuck in a rut.
I dislike: social injustice, lack of kindness and compassion in others and environmental harm (also shopping!).
I like to feel like I've achieved something every day before relaxing and looking for someone to share it with.
About his ideal match
I'd say the most important personal qualities I'm looking for in someone are kindness and compassion to others. You would need to enjoy spending time in nature in some way (I can't really stay inside/in bed when it's sunny!). I'm looking for someone who would be up for exploring new places, activities and places to eat.
However, what you do, your interests or your family circumstances aren't a deal breaker to me - it's your spirit inside that counts.

Jon is the kind of friend who is always there for you when you need him and when you don't. He is there to help on the bad days and will be there to laugh and celebrate on the good ones. It sounds like it's cliché to say that he's kind and generous but it's true - above and beyond every single time. He is considerate of people and the world around him. Always out on adventures outside and travelling, passionate about nature, animals (the guy has goats!!) the environment and tackling social injustices. He is one of those people who cares deeply about things and isn't afraid to stand up for what is right!
We've been friends well over two decades and I want with all of my heart for him to find someone who makes him feel as special as he is to us. He has a wicked sense of humour too, some of my most treasured memories are shared with him - getting into ridiculous situations (mostly in the outdoors), laughing until it hurt and loving life.
He is truly one of the worlds good guys and the most brilliant friend!
