I am cheerful, energetic and outgoing and always look for the positives. I am passionate and loyal.
I enjoy spending time with people but also value my own company and space. I consider myself to be easy to talk to and can keep up my end of the conversation. I like to be busy and tend to throw myself 100% into everything.
I have two adult daughters who are both self-sufficient and I keep in contact with the rest of my family.
I am now retired and enjoy the change in pace. It's good to be more active - not stuck at a desk all day! I go to the gym regularly and walk with friends and my dog, with some gardening for a bit of solitude. I also play bridge and enjoy live music (I've recently seen The Vaccines and have tickets for future events) as well as theatre and cinema. I am a member of my local Camera Club, partly for the programme of speakers and competitions but also to help me improve my technique.I have started skiing again after a long gap and plan to do at least two weeks a year until I get injured!
I've travelled a lot over the years and my holidays generally involve photography, combined with sightseeing, hiking, water sports or skiing. I am not a fan of sitting on the beach. Last year I visited Malta, Cuba and Sicily. So far this year I have been on a specialist photography trip to Laos and am going to Mongolia shortly.
My plan is to do some longer trips, some specialist photography ones, in the next few years.

In the long term I am looking for a long-term relationship but would like to take it slow.
I am looking for someone of a similar age to me who is energetic and open to new experiences. He would be empathetic and respectful. I appreciate positivity, energy and kindness and would like to meet someone who has a curiosity about other people and is happy to talk to anyone! Personal integrity is essential as well as having a sense of fun and not taking yourself too seriously.
It would be good to have shared interests but I'd also like to be introduced to new experiences (apart from motorbikes!)
I am keen to do more overseas travel and it would be lovely to have a travelling companion especially someone interested in photography!
