About her
I am quiet but outgoing, intelligent and friendly woman who would like to meet a man for my future adventures. I keep myself fit and active; I enjoy being outdoors, walking and cycling are my usual pass times, but also enjoy playing tennis and I have recently rediscovered yoga.
I like to travel: ideally France in September and New Zealand in February. I am intrigued by Scandinavia, but not sure about the cold and dark. In the winter, I enjoy watching films and plays (but definitely not musicals). At home I like to keep myself well informed, I listen to radio 4, read newspapers and listen to podcasts.
I am now retired and worked for most of my career in higher education. I enjoy my freedom though at times I miss the challenge and daily routine of work. During my working life I had a good deal of autonomy, so I am comfortable making decisions and getting things done. I tend to be a bit of an organiser and I always have 1000 and 1 ideas for things I would like to do.
I have 3 super grown up children, who continue to fill my life with joy, and a multitude of friends whose company I enjoy on a daily basis.
I have never found relationships difficult and have had a significant other for all my adult life, until a little over 3 years ago when I unexpectedly became a widow. I have adapted to my single life but sometimes I would really like someone special to share the trivia of everyday life as well as all the interests mentioned above.

I want someone to share some of my interests and activities, to keep me company through the long Scottish winters, but they can also maintain a good degree of independent.
