I much prefer to physically be with someone. I like seeing their mannerisms, the way they move, the look in their eyes, how they react to situations. Hearing the pitch and tone of their voice as well as the words they use. So internet dating to find 'the one' seems a little bit black and white and a bit contrived - but hey I'm dipping my toe in the water and let's see what happens. I am pretty sure there's someone out there for me, I'm a romantic at heart so fingers crossed.
I've travelled extensively, having worked for BA for a number of years, but still have the wander lust to discover new places. Planning a road trip to France I'm hooked on Duolingo to ensure I can 'parler beaucoup' on the trip

I value my friends and family, especially my wonderful godchildren. As I get older I realise that there is no price for good friends and good health. Value both.
I lost my husband two years ago, but was incredibly lucky to meet such a lovely, caring man and to have a fabulous life together. My outlook on life is that sometimes life can be unkind and people we love are taken from us too soon, but there has to be a rainbow around the corner and the sun will come out again.
Even in this day of feminism I still love a man to hold a door open for me, buy me flowers, tell me I look gorgeous and make me feel I am the only one in the room - is that outdated? I am equally comfortable telling a man I think they look gorgeous and treating them to dinner! By the way I'm not going to tell you I am as comfortable in a LBD as in wellies.......

I am looking for a kind, generous soul who is young at heart. Non-judgemental, family orientated and someone who hopefully will make my toes curl. A great sense of humour is a must, someone who can look at the funny side of life, if you can make me laugh we are half way there. Still find Monty Python funny and Lee Mack, but Michael McIntyre not my cup of tea. But if we all liked the same thing it would be pretty boring.
I would love to find someone who is young at heart and on occasions, acts their shoe size not their age. Wants to share things in life with me - to travel, cook together (not a deal breaker if you can only boil an egg) go to the theatre, art galleries, restaurants.
