Hello, what type of person am I? My friends would describe me as passionate, intelligent, enthusiastic, responsible, kind and caring. A fun loving, happy person to be around, with a good sense of humour. 😊
I have plenty of interests including culture and the arts. My musical taste is eclectic, ranging from classical and jazz to pop and chill out. I always have music playing at home. I love live events, festivals and concerts. I also enjoy playing golf which I love for the exercise, fresh air and social interaction.
I love travelling and my holidays choices are quite diverse. I enjoy visiting countries that are culturally different to the UK but equally like some R&R in luxury accommodation when required! My travel experiences include backpacking across South America and scuba diving in some beautiful locations. I love the sea and my ultimate trip was crewing on a Brigantine squire rigger, the tallship Soren Larsen, as purser, navigating around the South Pacific Ocean. However, I am equally happy on a country walk followed by a pub lunch. I would love to find a great companion to enjoy more adventurous pursuits and travel with me to more exotic places.
At home I like socialising, going to the cinema, wining and dining. I enjoy cooking and love to entertain my friends with dinner or a relaxing glass of wine in front of the wood burner. Barbecuing in the garden in the summer I would like to think that my friends would say that they enjoy good food, I haven’t poisoned anyone yet!
I’d describe myself as a glass half full type of person. An optimist who tries to see the positives in any situation and an old fashioned romantic! I know how to laugh at myself and like to enjoy life. Over the next few years, I intend to wind down my day job and focus on other interests. I would like to spend more time relaxing, travelling and doing the things I enjoy, preferably with that special someone.
