My friends would describe me as their 'quirky friend who lives in the woods' and as a self proclaimed luddite it is actually a miracle that I have managed to navigate the technology required to make this profile!
So about me... Well firstly I am not comfortable with blowing my own trumpet but I feel comfortable saying that I love life. I love my kids and I love my wonderful friends and our beautiful earth. I think my friends would describe me as kind, caring, philosophical, adventurous, compassionate, dynamic, strong, practical and adaptable, always in pursuit of fun, laughter and freedom. I value honesty and authenticity and strive to always be true to myself. I love sharing my life and gifts with others and being in service to my family and friends.
I fill my time mostly with home educating my two children and tasks associated with off grid living and finishing off building my cabin. I am passionate about foraging and preparing and eating wild food. This includes road kill deer, boar and squirrel (which happens to be one of my favourite meats).
From time to time I get itchy feet and love hitting the open road to explore new places and meet new interesting people.
My favourite thing to do is to spend time with close friends and being silly with my kids. I love a good debate with others and am always keen to have people test my ideas and bring new perspectives.
My little bits of down time might be filled by reading an anthropological book about an indigenous tribe or listening to a podcast about religion or ancient britain, or just gazing out the window of my cabin watching passing deer, wild boar and buzzards.
I love live music, dancing, hiking, wild camping, wild swimming and also occasionally revel in the luxuries of mainstream life such as a trip to a spa, a good meal out or an interesting film.
