I’m content and enjoying a quiet life, but I’ve been thinking - it would be good to have someone extra special to share the good times, and make even better times every day.
I like to think I’m good humoured, friendly and relaxed, honest and optimistic and a few other good things. I know I can take a little while to come out of my shell with new people, and in this context that isn’t necessarily a great thing, but it’s true whether I like it or not. I’m the natural type - no tucks or fillers, and prefer relaxed informal settings.
I’m reasonably fit and can’t go too long without getting out of doors. I don’t mind weather (mostly) and I particularly love woodland and rivers. I still do the old 9-5, l love my workplace but increasingly think about tipping the balance in favour of more ‘me time’.
Some things I like - gardens and weeds, character and integrity, people and creatures, the beautiful but humble countryside I am lucky enough to live in, science and art, music and quiet, human contact and the endless night sky.
Some things I accept the need for but prefer to keep to a minimum - cities and consumerism, social media and news, make up, photos of me and writing about myself!
Four legged friends - i shouldn't miss mentioning them, they are such a big part of many families. I love dogs but don't have one any more being single and out at work - it wouldn't be fair. I get my canine fix from other people's pets. I have a very loving old cat and I don't think you could have any pet i wouldn't enjoy.
