I am not a home person. I need to be out and about. I have my hobbies such as tennis, golf, swimming, duplicate bridge, opera, jazz and collecting classic cars. I am always searching for new restaurants, as eating out is a passion. I enjoy going to country pubs.
About his ideal match
I would like to find somebody who has hobbies and interests even if they are not my own. Ideally it should include sport. Perhaps someone who would like to spend part of the winter in a warmer climate, such as South Africa. I am not keen to find someone who has to plan their life around their pet. My ideal match would have too much else to do!

My friend Andrew is an ex boyfriend from 1984. He is a lovely chap and we always keep in touch. He is kind and romantic, but now that he has recently retired from running his textile business, he says it's never too late to find the love of his life. I agree with him, but always suggested he start a bit earlier!
He loves playing sport and keeping fit, as well as being musical. He is practical at home and I have even seen him sewing on a button quite well, but prefers eating out than cooking himself.
He is a guy who likes to keep in touch over the years, as I know he makes efforts to retain old friendships with school, university and workmates etc.
I remember that he was generous, as we never did anything "on the cheap".
Whilst having no family of his own, he is very attached to his nieces and nephews and their children.
