You can't tell from the photograph that Marina has the most beautiful, engaging and inviting eyes which reflect her personality. We met about 10 years ago studying Architecture and Interior design at University and our friendship has thrived and strengthened with the challenges of projectors breaking down at Uni, lazy afternoon lunches turning into late night partying, tears, laughter and a lot of support and love.

Working in publishing doesn't do justice to her artistic and adventurous streak, so she draws, can make jewellery, tune an engine and make a chest of drawers - without the help of Ikea! When not in the gym her current hobby is choir singing - and she's pretty good. Her love of art and curious nature means she is always interested in the latest exhibition, walks, plays and movies - unless they are "chick-flicks" - and we still find time to enjoy just chatting over lunch or dinners.

Marina is a true friend, who gives loyalty, respect, support and reasonably expects the same in return, especially as she will go the extra mile without hesitation or compromise.

She is a brilliant, eloquent woman, who knows herself and is interested in others.
